The American Cancer Society has programs and services to help you manage cancer treatment and recovery and find the emotional support you need. And best of all, our help is free.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, a family’s life as they know it comes to an abrupt halt. Unfortunately, their monthly expenses do not. That’s where we come in. We’re Angels Among Us, and we provide financial support to families battling pediatric cancer.

We believe in the Power of Play to bring a welcome distraction during times of difficulty. The Brian Duensing Foundation is dedicated to providing hope and support to families battling cancer or serious illness. This is accomplished by increasing awareness and by raising funds to support in two main areas: (1) research to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment; (2) outreach projects specifically designed to ease the emotional, financial and spiritual burdens endured by families facing these diseases.

We are an organization dedicated to assisting anyone impacted by Myeloma disease. Our mission is to help more families have access to the information and the support they need to care for their loved ones.

Camp CoHoLo's mission is to serve children between the ages of 6 and 17 who are impacted by cancer or blood disorders. Campers include children undergoing therapy and those who have completed treatment.

Camp Quality serves children with cancer and their families by providing year-round programs, experiences, and companionship, at no cost. Camp Quality promotes hope and inspiration while helping children foster life skills and develop their full potential.

Did you know more than 260 children in Iowa and Nebraska are diagnosed with cancer each year? Camp Quality Heartland is not in the business of finding a cure for cancer, but we are in the business of ensuring that every child who has been diagnosed with cancer can not only have a summer camp experience, but year-round programs to enhance their quality of life and encourage quality family time.

The Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska is a 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to raise money for cancer research. Ninety percent of the profits benefit the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha, with 10% donated back to local communities’ health and wellness programs.

The Child Health Research Institute aims to fund and support research that advances knowledge about childhood health and diseases.

It is a collaboration between Children’s Hospital & Medical Center and the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). Our mission is to promote research in pediatric health, consolidate research in pediatric disease, and provide resources to faculty investigators.

Since 2001, the Institute has partnered with Creighton University’s Medical School to uncover and test scientific innovations for head and neck cancer patients and their families.

Emma Gehring, the daughter of Brent and Kathryn (Alt) Gehring, and little sister of Aiden, was recently diagnosed with a formidable brain tumor. A student of Brent’s coined the phrase, “stay Emma Strong”, and it has caught fire on Twitter as #EmmaStrong. This site has been created to help raise funds for the Gehring family as they set out on Emma’s journey. All donations go directly to the Emma Gehring Charitable Donation Account and will be used to help the raise funds for the battle against Pediatric Brain Tumors.

The Festival of Hope is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help cancer patients who live in Western Nebraska and Eastern Wyoming with non-medical expenses as they relate to their cancer care and treatment. There is a sincere interest by the Festival of Hope to help those applicants who qualify for assistance.

Building a better future for cancer care — that's the goal of the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, a new flagship building for the Nebraska Medicine cancer network designed to house the patients, doctors and researchers who are changing the way we diagnose and treat cancer.

A joint project of Nebraska Medicine and the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center was designed entirely around the needs of a cancer patient to ensure the most convenient and comfortable care so patients can focus on healing and recovery.

GRACE Cancer Foundation assists cancer patients who live within 40 miles of Grand Island, Nebraska, or are being treated at the Saint Francis Cancer Treatment Center in Grand Island, or the Mary Lanning Healthcare - Morrison Cancer Center in Hastings. Help is available through several methods, such as gas cards, assistance with medical bills, household expenses, and more.

The Collective for Hope is a registered 501(c)3 organization, sharing its non-profit status with its program brands: Grief’s Journey, HEALing Embrace, and Ted E. Bear Hollow.

No one has to walk their grief journey alone. We believe everyone has a right to excellent and compassionate grief support and that our community is stronger with it.
