The Dobleman Head and Neck Cancer Institute has been created as a 501 (c) (3) organization to accomplish four interrelated objectives that – when combined – have the potential to change lives: This is a critical mission since more than 80,000 Americans each year are diagnosed with head and neck cancer. To make things worse, head and neck cancer is not easily discovered…until it’s too late. The research being done through the assistance of Dobleman Head and Neck Cancer Institute could lessen that pattern – with your financial assistance. Since 2001, the Institute has partnered with Creighton University’s Medical School to uncover and test scientific innovations for head and neck cancer patients and their families.

Emma Gehring, the daughter of Brent and Kathryn (Alt) Gehring, and little sister of Aiden, was recently diagnosed with a formidable brain tumor. A student of Brent’s coined the phrase, “stay Emma Strong”, and it has caught fire on Twitter as #EmmaStrong. This site has been created to help raise funds for the Gehring family as they set out on Emma’s journey. All donations go directly to the Emma Gehring Charitable Donation Account and will be used to help the raise funds for the battle against Pediatric Brain Tumors.

Raising money to fight cancer is the primary goal of Kicks for a Cure. Funds from the weekend go directly to cancer research at UNMC’s Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center and the Hereditary Cancer Center at Creighton University in Omaha. Heading into its 14th year, proceeds from past events total an impressive $3,200,000.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.


The mission of Liz's Legacy is to continue Liz Karnes' fight against cancer by supporting cutting-edge medical research and extraordinary care at one of the country's premier cancer centers. Liz's Legacy supports cancer research, education and patient care at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center. The University of Nebraska Foundation manages the program and ensures that donations made by individuals, corporations and other foundations are properly distributed.

Rockin’ Against Cancer, Inc., a 501 (c)3 non-profit, plans, organizes and promotes fundraising events that raise money to help find a cure for all types of cancers and to help local families fighting against it. To begin, RAC donates a portion of its proceeds to the Cancer Research Institute, the leader in cancer immunotherapy. On a local level, RAC donated $400 worth of gifts to a family who's husband and father was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer. Their contribution made it possible for this local family to have the Christmas that they deserved. In 2016, RAC put together their first scholarship to grant to a local high school student.


Sammy's Superheroes Foundation's mission is to raise awareness and fund life-saving research for all types of childhood cancer. We are paving the road to a cure!


The mission of Save the Brain Campaign is to create a greater understanding and awareness of brain tumors through the education of all those impacted by a brain tumor diagnosis. By creating an outlet for family and friends to donate funds for local research, Save the Brain Campaign will support the advancement of new treatment methods to lead to the ultimate goal of saying, “I’m cancer free.”


The Team Jack Foundation's mission is to raise money to fund impactful pediatric brain cancer research and work to create national awareness for the disease. With an overall survival rate of just around 70%, there is a lot of work that needs to be done in this area. The diseases that we as a society spend resources on ultimately see improved treatments and survival rates. It is time that pediatric brain cancer becomes a member of that community.

The Cure Starts Now represents something truly different – a grassroots effort dedicated to, not just fighting one cancer, but the elimination of all cancers. We believe as the experts do; that in order to truly cure cancer you have to focus on: Those cancers that are immune to conventional treatments, Those cancers for which there are no treatments, Those cancers that affect children, and those cancers that are the biggest bullies. We call this the Homerun Cure.
