All Betty’s Children provides care, comfort, and support through emotional, financial, and other means to families confronting cancer during their time of need.

The Giving Hope Cancer Fund is a local organization serving the people of Nemaha County. Our mission and purpose is to provide monetary assistance to Nemaha County residents for costs incurred during cancer treatments outside of Nemaha County.

GRACE Cancer Foundation assists cancer patients who live within 40 miles of Grand Island, Nebraska, or are being treated at the Saint Francis Cancer Treatment Center in Grand Island, or the Mary Lanning Healthcare - Morrison Cancer Center in Hastings. Help is available through several methods, such as gas cards, assistance with medical bills, household expenses, and more.

Because cancer should not keep your inner beauty from shining through. Cancer and its treatment may change your appearance. We want to help your inner beauty shine through. You have the opportunity to consult with a clinical cosmetologist to create a comprehensive, individual appearance plan. Your plan may include skin care, make up, color analysis and wig fitting in this medically-based program.

kicks for a cure - liz’s legacy

Raising money to fight cancer is the primary goal of Kicks for a Cure. Funds from the weekend go directly to cancer research at UNMC’s Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center and the Hereditary Cancer Center at Creighton University in Omaha. Heading into its 14th year, proceeds from past events total an impressive $3,200,000.

The Metro Area Youth Foundation, Inc. is a corporation formed by the Omaha, Nebraska area Optimist Clubs., here to provide financial assistance to families with children experiencing cancer. NC2 is a statewide partnership of 350 individuals representing 200 public and private organizations. Our partners are working together to prevent and control cancer and it’s economic and psychosocial effects on our families, friends and communities. NC2 works toward implementing the goals and objectives outlined in the Nebraska Cancer Plan.

The Nebraska Foundation for Cancer Research is a Non-Profit organization established in 2013. Our mission is to financially support local and national cancer research programs, to reduce the number of lives taken by cancer, help the families affected by the loss of a loved one from cancer and support the efforts of finding a cure.


Join us the first Tuesday of each month for our Cancer Survivorship Group where we offer an open group discussion – led by one of our licensed social workers – for support no matter where you are in your journey. We welcome anyone with a current or past cancer diagnosis, as well as his or her family, caregivers and friends.

The Carolyn Scott Rainbow House located at 7825 Farnam Drive in Omaha is a 56-room guest house for out-of-town families who are coming to Children’s Hospital & Medical Center from more than 60 miles outside of Omaha.

At Ronald McDonald House in Omaha, we’re for the fighters. The caregivers. This House is a place where caregivers can refuel for the fight ahead with nutritious meals and restful sleep, play areas and quiet nooks; a place where they can rally around hope alongside fellow fighters. And a place that the Omaha community can rally around too.

We are a 501(c)3 organization founded to provide financial support to cancer patients who reside in the Nebraska sandhills area. our intent is to assist with expenses, support, and information to help the cancer patient deal with their diagnoses and treatment. We provide financial assistance to help cover out of pocket expenses such as fuel, meals and lodging for the patient and one caregiver when they travel to appointments and treatments outside of their town.



Scare Away Cancer is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. What makes our structure even more unique is it's operated 100% by volunteers! That's right, the "staff" are all volunteers from MCL Construction and others in the community. Our collaborative group is in charge of sponsorships, decorations, entertainment, and so much more. A selfless act of giving without expecting anything in return. Our motto: Have Fun, Make a Difference, and The Money Stays Here. It's important to us that the funds donated stay in our community where it can make an immediate impact.
