hereditary cancer center (lynch comprehensive cancer research center) - creighton university

The Lynch Comprehensive Cancer Research Center (LCCRC) at Creighton University was formally established in 1984. The primary objective of the LCCRC was to conduct comprehensive research projects dealing with cancer of all anatomic sites. It’s primary objective is devoted to cancer prevention resulting from identification of hereditary cancer syndromes with particular attention given to surveillance and management programs melded to the natural history of these particular hereditary disorders.

We are a community-centered organization working to educate and support families with hereditary cancer and the medical professionals that combat it. kicks for a cure - liz’s legacy

Raising money to fight cancer is the primary goal of Kicks for a Cure. Funds from the weekend go directly to cancer research at UNMC’s Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center and the Hereditary Cancer Center at Creighton University in Omaha. Heading into its 14th year, proceeds from past events total an impressive $3,200,000.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.

The From the Heart Fund at Mary Lanning Healthcare's Morrison Cancer Center helps their patients and families pay for everyday essentials and special needs while undergoing cancer treatment. Donations to this fund help pay for rent, groceries, childcare, gas, wigs, prosthetics and other expenses not covered by insurance.

The Metro Area Youth Foundation, Inc. is a corporation formed by the Omaha, Nebraska area Optimist Clubs., here to provide financial assistance to families with children experiencing cancer. Our goals: Provide financial and other support to children receiving treatment for cancer. Assist families and care partners of pediatric cancer patients. Assist healthcare providers and camps serving children with cancer.

MY SISTER’S KEEPER - OMAHA

My Sister's Keeper is the first and only support group for women of color who have been diagnosed with breast cancer based in Omaha Nebraska. My Sister's Keeper provides support, advocacy and education regarding breast cancer as it relates to women of color. My Sister's Keeper provides as safe environment where women of color can share their survival stories, learn about their treatment options, and find allies in their battle against breast cancer.
